How to use an IKEA gift card

An IKEA gift card pays for purchases on the IKEA website and in IKEA stores of the country where the card was issued.

How to activate

Sign in to your IKEA Family or IKEA Business account on the IKEA website of the card country.
Put the items in the cart and choose delivery or pickup.
On the payment page, choose to add an IKEA gift card.
Enter the 16-digit digital card code or the 19-digit number and 4-digit PIN, then pay for the order.
In an IKEA store of that country, the card is accepted at the checkout, in the restaurant and the bistro.

The card works only in the country of purchase. A Germany card works in IKEA Germany stores and on ikea.de; Austria and France cards work only in their own country.
The validity depends on the country: 3 years in Germany, 365 days from purchase or activation in France, no expiry for Netherlands cards.
In Germany, a card bought outside IKEA starts working about 36 hours after purchase.
The remaining balance stays on the card. You pay the difference with another method, but in Germany not with Klarna.
The card cannot be exchanged for cash.
Code not accepted: check for typos and extra spaces. After an interrupted payment, the amount may be blocked for up to 24 hours.
If the code does not activate, write to support through the form on the order page: we will check it and replace the item or refund your money.
