How to redeem an App Store gift card
An App Store gift card adds funds to your Apple ID balance. The balance pays for apps, subscriptions and in-game purchases.
How to activate
- Open the App Store on iPhone and tap the account button at the top of the screen.
- Choose Redeem Code.
- Point the camera at the code or enter it manually and tap Redeem.
Region and restrictions
- The card can be used only in the country it was issued for. Otherwise the App Store says: Code must be redeemed in a different country or region.
- You change the Apple ID country in Settings: your name → Media & Purchases → Country/Region.
- Before changing the country, spend the remaining balance, cancel subscriptions and leave Family Sharing. You will need a payment method from the new country.
- If the code does not activate, write to support through the form on the order page: we will check it and replace the item or refund your money.
